In Genius Hour, there are 4 primary categories that student quests fall under. These categories are Design, Experiment, Activist, and Artist. Some might use one or more categories too.

In Module 1, you will explore your own passions and interestes, looking for that one special idea that you think will make a great Genius Hour Quest. This is all about using your Creativity and thinking outside of the box. Let your imagination run free!
In this Module, you will :
Participate in a "Yes-And" Activity
Identify your Passions by completing a Passion Planner
Learn how to give an "Elevator Pitch"

Module 2 - Making Mistakes, Finding Solutions
Module 2 - Making Mistakes, Finding Solutions
In Module 2, you begin working on your Genius Hour Quest. This module is all about defining what you are doing and trying out something you have never done before. During this module, do not be afraid to make mistakes! You learn a lot from making mistakes and overcoming them.
In this Module, you will :
Begin working on your Genius Hour Quest
Learn to communicate an idea through sketching
Learn about different kinds of plans and why we need them
Create an Action Plan that you will follow throughout the semester
Locate Resources you might use in your quest
Identifiy and overcome failures

Module 3 - Refining, Editing, and Completion
Module 3 - Refining, Editing, and Completion
In Module 3, you should be in the full swing of your Genius Hour Quest. You should have a clear understanding of what you are completing and what steps you need to take. After making mistakes in Module 2, you should now have learned from them and be applying that knowledge to finish your Quest.

Contact an Expert to receive help and feedback
Learn how to give and receive feedback with your classmates
Edit and Refine your project
Complete your Genius Hour Quest
Learn to Present your Final Genius Hour Quest

Module 4 - Final Presentation & Reflection
Module 4 - Final Presentation & Reflection
In Module 4, your Genius Hour Quest is now complete. You should have a completed product that you are ready to show to others. Here, you will create a video presentation of your work that will be shared with others in your community.
