Genius Hour (jee·nyuhs aw·ur) noun 1. the name given to a block of time set aside each week for APIS Middle School students to explore their personal passions and direct their own learning on a topic of their choice.

Student interests can vary from novels, snowboarding, and woodworking to the space colonization or baking. The ultimate goal is for each student to develop a project that incorporates their passion topic and makes an impact in the larger community.
